Support For Individuals
Charlina was in her late twenties when she found out that she was pregnant with twins. She contacted Dr. Jen because she remembered hearing about her experience with pregnancy and birth. Their coaching work was centered on Charlina having a powerful experience throughout her pregnancy, healing wounds from sexual assault, growing up with a mother who wasn’t there for her, and making informed choices to have the most empowering birth experience possible.
Charlina was not only able to have the natural childbirth she wanted (births of multiples can often involve many interventions that she wanted to avoid if possible), but she found that her fears about being a bad mother were unnecessary – the coaching she received allowed her to create a context for mothering that inspired her and allows her children to thrive.
Today, Charlina’s twins are seven and are described as compassionate, loving children who have an amazing bond with their mother. As a family, they are thriving together!
Support For Couples & Families
Brian was in his mid-thirties when his fiancé was unfaithful. His friends told him to end the relationship, but his heart told him that with the right work, he could get through this. He reached out to Third Eye Family Solutions for support in overcoming the hurt and betrayal he was feeling.
Over the course of three months, Brian and his coach worked together to not only work through his anger and disappointment but to design a future relationship with his fiancé that had both of their needs met. While Brian’s first instinct was to blame his fiancé for the problems in their relationship, he was eventually able to see the ways in which he contributed to the issues present in their partnership. He engaged in deep, thoughtful conversations with his fiancé and they used the coaching he received to work together to heal their wounds and create a new future.
They were married about a year after his coaching was completed, and report that they are happy three years later. No one has a ‘perfect’ marriage, but Brian says he feels he has the tools to handle any hurdles they may face.
Support For Kids & Youth
When Jacquie’s daughter Hollie was hospitalized for mental health struggles, she and her partner Eddie drifted apart. They each had different ways of dealing with Hollie that were based on their own childhood experiences, and they didn’t seem compatible. Jacquie feared not only losing her daughter, but also losing her partner.
They came to coaching together both to learn new ways of helping Hollie and to find ways to compromise and communicate in their relationship. Essential components of Family Life Education including Internal Dynamics of Families and Interpersonal Relationships were the central elements of their work with Dr. Jen. Through implementing new strategies, they were able to help Hollie through a time of crisis while growing closer together.
After only 2 months of working with Dr. Jen, they shifted from not knowing if they were going to stay together, to looking for a house to purchase. They moved about 4 months later, have helped Hollie start college, and refer often to the specific tools they learned to keep things running smoothly in their family.
