Dr. Jen Schwartz, PhD, CFLE, is the owner of Third Eye Family Solutions. She is committed to people living the best lives they can. She helps families and individuals age 10 and older to heal and live their best lives.

Vision & Mission of My Coaching & Counseling Clinic

I focus on bringing new perspectives and support to those who are tired of facing their challenges alone. People deserve to see what is possible in life and to have support in making their dreams their reality. Through my approach, individuals, families, and communities can see what’s possible. They’ll have the space to heal, dream, and to achieve. They will have help along the way. Everybody deserves to be on the path of having life be the way they want it, and they never have to face the ups and downs alone.

Through the tools, resources, and services I provide at Third Eye Family Solutions, I seek to increase the understanding of what it means to be a loving and healthy family, to be a community, and to be an individual in these communities. As I help you, I’m supporting and establishing healthy new perspectives and lasting changes to our environments and the way we care for each other here in Utah and Washington.

Coaching & Solutions For Lasting Results

I have a large circle of knowledge, techniques, tools, and approaches to empower my clients to trust their intuition and to clearly see what is happening in their lives that isn’t working.

Through coaching programs and counseling, I work with individuals, families, children, and youth to get to the core of their challenges and find solutions that bring lasting change.

I Focus on Shifting Group Mindsets, Not Just an Individual’s

Third Eye Family Solutions is focused on providing opportunities for people to thrive. So many people struggle needlessly, and if they had an opportunity to get clarity and support, they wouldn’t have to deal with the struggles they currently put up with.

In our programs, we focus on shifting individual, group, and community mindsets to have the best outcomes for all seeking support and improvement in their life. This shift in mindset results in better relationships and healthier environments as it empowers individuals and families.

Dr. Jen Schwartz, PhD, CFLE

Dr. Jen has been working with families in various ways since 1993. As an educator, she has worked with children as young as 2 through teaching college courses in both traditional and non-traditional settings. As a Life Coach, Dr. Jen has coached individuals and couples in many areas of life, including relationship issues, running successful businesses, creating life goals, and getting out of debt. As a Certified Family Life Educator (CFLE), she has counseled individuals and families on topics ranging from looking for an ideal relationship to planning for children; from handling tantrums to empowering teenagers; and from preparing for marriage to powerfully ending relationships.

Dr. Jen has research and experience in attachment parenting, blended families, and alternative education. Her primary doctoral research involved looking at birth stories from both narrative and artistic expressions. She is especially interested in empowering women’s childbirth experiences and believes that having empowered, informed births is critical in empowering women as mothers.

Dr. Jen was the founder of Sego Lily School, Utah’s only school for self-directed learning in a working democracy. She has created workshops for adults including Trust-Based Parenting, From Scarcity to Abundance, and Healing with Sound. She is the mother of three adult children and one teenager, and step-mom to another four awesome humans. She lives with her husband in Onalaska, Washington, along with her teenage son, her mother, her step-son, daughter-in-law and grandbaby (yes, that’s FOUR generations!), two crazy but loving dogs, pigs, chickens, and any other creatures that decide to add themselves to the farm.

When not parenting, farming, or working, Jen can be found in her garden, in the pages of a book, or somewhere at play with her art or a puzzle.

My Core Values

It’s important that you know who I am and what I value here at Third Eye Family Solutions. These are my core values, and they are vital to who I am as a coach, counselor, and human being.

N

You are Family & We are a Team

My focus is on helping families discover new ways to work together to bring happiness and workability. I work with your family, and you work with my family (team) to make the changes you need for it to work.

I coach or counsel all sorts of families, including blended families, LGBTQ kids or parents, mixed-faith traditions, single parents,  polyamorous, and more. However you define family for you, I’m here to support you and your loved ones.

N

Honesty & Transparency

I believe that having transparency empowers my clients to build a trusting relationship. Honesty and transparency are vital for any relationship to be powerful, loving, and healthy. I am honest and upfront about my pricing and about how my process works with each individual.

Be it clients, teammates, or potential partners, my goal is to always have honesty and transparency. I actively seek out and provide honest feedback, which helps our environment be a place that is built upon trust and love.

N

Balance & Quality of Life

As I focus on empowering my clients to have a life of their dreams, I am also committed to my team having and living the life of their dreams. My business will function and focus on having life work in all the areas it needs to, including taking care of our well-being so I can provide quality care for my clients.

I’ll also create balance in our environment to help us be aligned and connected so that we can function as a whole and not just as individuals.

N

All Voices are Equally Heard

I believe that each and every person deserves the right to be heard, the right to contribute, and the right to have a say. This means I focus on listening as much as I focus on talking. Full communication empowers me and my clients, whether they are individuals, families, or communities, to be supported and to have the space they need to communicate.

N

Being & Having Fun

The amount and heaviness of the challenges we face every day get old really fast. I’m committed to the idea that facing these challenges doesn’t have to be a burden; rather, it will be fun, exciting, and I will celebrate each step in the journey.

My space will always provide a variety of places, tools, and activities that bring fun, excitement, and connection, which fulfill being and having fun.

N

Be Empowered

Ultimately, I want everyone I work with to be empowered. Empowered to see that having and living a life of your dreams is possible. Being empowered means that even in the face of challenges, my clients are willing to take on something new, to try something new, to remember what they are committed to.

Being empowered means that when Third Eye Family Solutions faces challenges, I remember what I’m committed to for my team.

I am not stuck or stopped in finding, having, or providing solutions to my clients and to our communities. When my clients reach their goals and reach the level of growth and healing they desire, I’ll know I am fulfilling my commitment.

Frequently Asked Questions

WHat is the difference between coaching and counseling?

Coaching is focused on creating goals, and having support to fulfill those goals. Coaching includes conversations, planning, and taking actions. Counseling focuses more on healing past traumas and is focused around healing and recovering from a mental health condition.

Both approaches are individual and based on helping patients to achieve specific results. If you aren’t sure which approach you need, please contact me, and I will gladly help you find the right support.

Why are you called Third Eye Solutions?

Having a third set of eyes implies having a fresh new perspective on a relationship or family dynamics. Sometimes when we’re so close to the problem, we struggle to see new possibilities or new actions to take to resolve and create solutions that work. I’m here to help you see new choices and new actions. Learn more about who I am here.

How much does a session of coaching or counseling cost?

A coaching or counseling session will cost around $90 an hour. Prices may vary depending on program length and specific needs. Please contact me for specific information based on your needs.

What kind of coaching style do you use?

I focus on completing the past and building a future. Here you get to choose and create what you want. Through our sessions, I will both support you and push you. I’m focused on increasing your self-awareness and personal responsibility to help you see that you can have the life you want.

This is true regardless of whether you’re coming in for personal coaching or counseling or as a family.
